Your Privacy — What You Need to Know

Who we are

We are Opinion42, a UK-based market research company. We carry out surveys and interviews on behalf of clients — organisations that want to understand people's views, experiences, and opinions. We do not carry out sales or marketing activities.

Why we're asking you these questions

Your answers will be used for research purposes only. The organisation that commissioned this research wants to understand what people think. Taking part will not result in any sales calls, marketing material, or follow-up contact of any kind.

What we do with your answers

Your responses are analysed alongside those of other participants and reported in summary form. Your individual answers will not be identified or attributed to you personally.

Where this survey collects information about your health, ethnicity, political views, or other sensitive topics, this is solely to help us understand the range of views and experiences across different groups of people. This information is treated with particular care.

Are you anonymous? Yes. We do not collect your name or contact details as part of this survey. Your answers cannot be traced back to you individually. The only exception would be if you have given us specific permission to include your personal data, for example because we are sending you a product to test.

Who sees the data?

Results are shared with the client who commissioned the research, in aggregated, anonymised form. Your individual responses are not passed on. Data may also be processed by trusted technical partners — for example, survey software providers — who are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Is taking part voluntary?

Yes, entirely. You can stop at any time and skip any question you would prefer not to answer. There are no consequences for not taking part or for stopping partway through.
